Another Star shoots to the Heavens

Leslie Nielsen  84

February 11, 1926- November 28, 2010
Mr. Nielson stared in over 50 movies and various television shows in his 60 year career.
His trademarks were his deadpan expressions and his sophomoric punchlines and to ignore anything that was going on around him. Also his use of a whoopie cushion gag. He always was doing that on talk shows.
Leslie Nielsen starred it such hits as Airplane and the Naked Gun movies.
Mr. Nielson passed away due to complications from pneumonia he was 84 years old.

HOT in CLEVELAND starring Betty White

TV Land invited me to a screening of their breakout comedy "HOT in CLEVELAND".
Staring four very talented actresses that happen to be older, the youngest is in her late 40's. All four actresses have come from very successful television careers. Betty White: Golden Girls, Mary Tyler Moore,Boston Legal, Mamas family just too name a few. Valerie Bertinelli:Touched by an Angel, One day at a Time and what about that ad for weight watchers? Jane Leeves: Fraiser,Seinfeld,Murphy Brown. Wendie Malick:Just Shoot Me, Fraiser. All of these ladies have been in much more.
Back to the screening, the evening started off with cocktails an appetizers in the Bar set. We then went to our seats facing the home sets of the show. We watched some out takes from past shows and then watched the Birthday Episode.Very Funny, the ladies pull names and the name they pull they have to get a blind date for that person. Poor Joy played by Jane Leeves her date is believed to be a killer and Valerie who plays Melanie her date thinks she looks exactly like his departed wife.
After watching the show the four ladies sat in front facing us and answered questions and talked about themselves and the show. It was like being in your home with friends just chatting. They are all beautiful and it shows that they love what they are doing. Unless they are ACTING which Wendie Malick said a few times"Its Acting". But I think they genuinely like each other. Great cast.

Chuck's movie reveiw for Unstoppable

UNSTOPPABLE
Staring Denzel Washington & Chris Pine

"Unstoppable is an adrenaline rush fueled by director Tony Scott's signature mark of propulsive action rooted in the reality of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances."says Brian Tallerico, content director of HollywoodChicago.com.

Washington plays railroad veteran showing the new guy Chris Pines the way of the rails. Due to the engineer of the train 777 played by Ethan Suplees better known as Randy on the Television show My Name is Earl. The engineer gets off his engine to move the track switch which sets in motion a chain of mistakes. This movie will have you at the end of your seat with the unmanned train 777 barreling down the tracks as it races through towns. Train 777 is as long as the empire state building reaching speeds of 80 miles an hour caring molten phenol a very toxic chemical is as the say unstoppable.

"Unstoppable" is a well made action movie. Out of 10 I give it an 8

Going to "Hot In Cleveland" with Betty White

In 1995 I decided to try acting. I joined acting classes down in Hollywood, got my head shots ,worked for background otherwise known as working as an extra. I was able to join the Screen Actors Guild by working on a couple of movies. Interesting I have worked on 3 movies and commercials right here in my own hometown the Antelope Valley. Also thru the Screen Actors Guild I am on the SAG Nominating Committee. That committee votes on what stars and what shows will be nominated for SAG awards. Which are given out at The SAG awards show. This year I have been invited to a couple of Screenings. One is for the TNT show "Hawthorne" which stars Jada Pinkett Smith and Michael Vartan and TV Land has invited me to a screening of their show "Hot In Cleveland" staring Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Reeves, Wendi Malick and Betty White. What an honor to be invited to these functions. More on these events after I go to them.

My business sucks, oh poor me.

It is so easy when you work for yourself to become lazy and complaisant. I am the boss I can get up when I want too, make calls, if I want too, show or not show houses. I can also kill my business or start killing my business in a day. Well that's what I have been doing killing a business that I worked hard to start. Dude quit being a CANDYASS. This is what you will hear from Tom Ferry. He is a Coach, Mentor, and a pretty nice guy. He also tells it like it is. Watch his video on Am I Planting Enough Seeds? I don't know how he does it but he knows just the right message I need to hear. I jumped out of the Waambulance this Friday. I took a future home owner out showed him homes and discussed what would be a good fit for him in the way of purchasing a home. It felt good to be actually working with a client. Its a gonna be a long haul in this business I have chosen. But with help and inspiration from people like Tom Ferry, and Gary Vaynerchuk I believe I can do it. Check out Gary Vaynerchuk on a you tube or buy his book "CRUSH IT" or Gary vaynerchuk.com. Also Check out Tom Ferry.com

Talkin with ChuckL: Sitting at my Pity Party

Talkin with ChuckL: Sitting at my Pity Party: "Sitting here there are no balloons, no cake ,no Lady GaGa singing in the back ground. Just me 48 year old male thinking what the hell have I..."

Sitting at my Pity Party

Sitting here there are no balloons, no cake ,no Lady GaGa singing in the back ground. Just me 48 year old male thinking what the hell have I been doing and why have I been doing Real Estate for the last five years? Why are you sticking with it in 2010 one of the worst years in history for the real estate profession. Good questions and I am not sure why? I have always done ok in this field, not a super top producer but I have always worked very hard for my clients and they were different then. Now its a whole different ball game with peoples attitudes, bank attitudes, agent attitudes and asset manager attitudes who have no training when it comes to real estate.
So do  I stay or do I go? I am also a SAG actor. I put that on the back burner six years ago just when it was starting to go somewhere, to become Super agent man. So now I am thinking of starting again in the acting business. Nothing like going from one burning pot to another. I have been trying to keep a journal. I re read some things I wrote in June. In Big Letters I wrote: SET BIG CRAZY GOALS under that I had some actions for some goals they are as follows,
1. Believe in myself
2.Decide what I want
3.Visualize outcome
4.Create wish list
5.Design an Action Plan!!!
6. Understand the numbers
7. Schedule daily activities
8. Review Plan
9. Practice every day
10. Be responsible and accountable
11. Use other Successful People as role models.

My pity party is over for tonight...Tomorrow the theme for the party is not pity but
SET BIG CRAZY GOALS!
